Red Bull Air Race 2015

In this year we were honoured with the opportunity to design and produce the trophy of the Red Bull Air Race Budapest.
There were 3 main aspects in the brief of the competition: importing the motive of flight, using an inspirational theme typical of Hungary and finally the trophy has to fit in with the Red Bull identity.
So the 2 main principals of the concept are the shape/silhouette of a characteristic red bull racing plane and the saker falcon which is a native bird of prey in Hungary that is a reoccuring motive in Hungarian folklore. The location of the Red Bull Air Race Budapest is above the river Danube and in front of the Hungarian Parlament. We used this unique and characteristic location as our third inspirational theme to reproduce the way things reflect on the water. This effect complements and connects the trophy into a dynamic, but an integral whole.Design with Zsófia Sárváry
