The concept is based on the expression "DNB" which is the initials of " Dod(o) na bô" what means crazy about you in a direct translation of Cape Verdean Creole to English, but the real meaning is I like you or I love you, depending to whom it is said. Usually it is an expression that even friends say to each other, lovers and families.
The initial concept was to be a demonstration of our love to our beloved ones. As gifts and beautiful words.
Dated 2011, it is a registered brand by the name DNB DOD NA BO.
Interestingly DNB in English would be taken as Do Not Buy, and it does fit the concept of giving a bit of your love, it isn't a commercial brand but a giveaway. As friend, lover or beloved family you buy for your beloved ones and you get it as present from them.
