Pearl in the Shell

The portraits have been captured on a fully manual Analog camera using the technique of Double exposure.
(Double exposure on film happens when two different frames are exposed to one film, or the same film is exposed twice with different frames.)

Pearl in the Shell is a series of pictures showing child portraits who have been living and working  in harsh conditions on street. Its beautiful to see them smile, and hear their stories, inspite of them working only to earn a meal a day and at the same time aspire to heal the world some day.

The portraits speak a thousand words about the stories of innocent children, their smiles, shyness, sufferings and the surroundings they are bound to live in. Its wonderful to see them accept these unavoidable circumstances and happily deal with Stopping Stones as Stepping Stones.

Lets have a peep into these children’s worlds where there are no fairy tales to be heard,
no dreams so sweet that they never wake up
but just a hope that some day they will get wings to fly.
