Screen printed hand crafted stationery

PTASHKY
PTASHKY is the Ukrainian word for ‘birds’. The set contains different objects with images of peafowl, mallard and pheasant – distinctive birds from Ukrainian folklore and fairytales. This project was inspired by traditional Ukrainian stitching pattens which we reinvented and represented in a form of contemporary and meticulous graphic and binding.
We wanted to demonstrate the beauty and visual language of unique Ukrainian customs. All elements are crafted, bound and printed by hand. We used only natural colors and materials such as linen, wood, recycled or eco-friendly paper and inks. This way we wanted to convey and appreciate aesthetics and main subject of traditional Ukrainian hand crafts.
