Racial injustice is an issue that has been ignored for many years. Growing increasingly worse, every year people of color are profiled and treated unfairly by the justice system. Building Balance is a campaign to address this issue and empower everyday people to make a change, starting in their own communities. We hope that this helps build a balance between the people and the justice system, so that every person, no matter what race can have equal opportunity in today’s world. 

 

This hypothetical PSA was done in collaboration with Chris Meier to persuade a viewer to help a cause entitled "Building Balance." The PSA took form of a standard shipping container (8ft by 20ft) that exposed a gallery of large infographics that displayed the racial injustices that took place in 2009-2014 in the city of Chicago. The audience was targeting at young adults with the mindset that this experience woud be mobile to other communties. The intended idea is to persuade a viewer to act positively by stating their views of "Building Balance" via tshirt, sticker, button etc. View full presentation.
