The concept of this desk design was inspired by the Japanese art of joint assembling. The different parts of the design are joined together by their joints, without any need of glue or screws.

The Kodama desk was designed using 3D modeling with computer aided design. The design was then made using a CNC machine to obtain the exact measurements of the model.  This material was multi-laminated with Guatambu wood with a thickness of 18mm (~.71in)

Kodama is a digital fabrication object. It's model can be downloaded and distributed throughout the web with the intention of sharing it in a local or low demand manner. It can be reproduced in its exact form in any part of the world.
