Greening the Streets of San Francisco
Sidewalk Garden installation at 26th and Shotwell Streets in the Mission
Sidewalk Garden installation at 26th and Shotwell Streets in the Mission
In 2011 I transformed over 3,000 square feet of sidewalk in the Mission District of San Francisco into beautiful gardens, wildlife habitat and stormwater storage. Originally pedestrians walking down these block walked down barren and exposed sidewalk. Now pedestrians walk along gardens full of flowering California native plants, grasses and boulders.
