FIKA
A contribution to BillerudKorsnäs contest PIDA 2015

Theme: Style and smart on the go.
The assignment was to develop a smart packaging-solution for food or snacks that could be consumer ”on the go”.

We made the package ”FIKA” based on the Swedish word fika which basically means meeting friends and family over coffee and pastry and discussing, well, anything. We were inspired by the fika you get at your grandmothers with traditional swedish pastries and coffee or tea on a cake-plate with a napkin with lace details. The box is made to be used at conferences and events while enjoying a well neede leg stretcher and can be held with one hand with the other hand free to eat, drink, shake hands and share hugs. with friends. A fika perfect for mingle.

WINNER of the award BEST SHELF IMPACT at BillerudKorsnäs Packaging Impact Design Awards 2015.
Motivation: "The jury thinks this solution is both stylish and fun. It's innovative compared to many other contributions. There is a wholeness and is worked out in detail. The foot has more than one task. The package becoming a cake plate is brilliant. To also make the concept target area conferences are as unusual as an interesting grip."
