For International Women's Day (2015), UNESCO turned the focus onto the current conditions of girls' education in Sub-Saharan Africa. FFunction developed an interactive data visualization for viewers to explore and understand the barriers girls face everyday. The data plays a prominent role in revealing underlying problems, while the visual identity reinforces the concept of being left behind or left out.
My role as an intern involved creating wireframes for the visualization, developing a visual language for the design, and testing functional aspects before the launch.
