The aim was to achieve a status, where video and music combined are perceived as a whole work, rather than two separate media. Song verses in the storyline are represented as chapters and the song chorus translates to the duel which is the plot climax.
The short animation tells a story of a barber who was framed for murder. The project was inspired mostly by Sergio Leone's Dollar Trilogy and the early 20th century western photography. Almost three hundred pencil drawings were made to complete the film. Creating an animation in which the structure of the music translated directly to the structure of the narration required a song with a rich sound background, which further helped build a whole story around it. The final result may be seen as a rendition of the track layers. The rhythm dictates the story tempo, the music subtle accents translate directly to characters and objects animation.
