FOREVER MINE

The main material used for the wefts – my scalp hair.

By using my work I am trying to awaken thoughts about the connections between sustainability and decline. The fragility of life and its preservation, my artwork – it‘s the meaning and perpetuation of myself. The hair – it‘s a matter, which remains unchanged for a long period of time, while the body (of a human or an animal), exposed to environmental impact, decomposes faster. Weaving with my own hair - it’s a real self-preservation, the opportunity to leave a mark behind myself that persist unchanged for a long period of time. Using the hair in the weaving is like makeing the self-seeking meaningful, returning to especially organic matter - my hair.
