A redesigned version of the book Blik Van Onderen by Franca Winter and Wilhelm Krohmer.
Like being drawn into a city, without knowing what you will find, being forced to find out and orientate yourself, this book lets you dive into the city of Rotterdam, without anything to lock up the content and without any navigation elements.
The content is rhythmically mixed and made up of fictional storys of two travellers, interviews, extracts of external literature, background information on a lot of content and various picture series both analogue and digital. Representing Rotterdam’s intercultural society there is a lot of content in different languages without any translation.
Blik Van Onderen, meaning look from below reflects the way someone discovers the city and may lead to a fitting misunderstanding for Germans, as they may understand look from others.
