I started to feel very excited when i found empty spaces, alone peoples and objects in this city which over 15 million .
''When City was Empty'' is a project series which includes different subjects and areas in the process. Project series aims to show graphical results of that ''we may need empty spaces and we may need to be alone even living in a big metropol''. Also spaces and buildings may need to be alone too.
Through this aim I m triying to catch feeling ''everybody has gone''. I use film cameras in the project because film photography has the grain effect, scratches and dusts so they fill the gaps and increase the expression of emptiness.

On beş milyondan fazla kişinin yaşadığı bu şehirde boş mekanlar, yalnız insanlar veya objeler bulduğumda heyecan duymaya başladım. ''When City was Empty (Şehir Boşken)'' süreçte farklı konu ve mekanları içeren bir proje serisidir. Bu proje serisinin hedefi şu bağlamın görsel sonuçlarını sunmaktır ''büyük bir metropolde yaşıyor olsak bile boş mekanlara ihtiyaç duyabiliriz, yalnız kalmaya ihtiyaç duyabiliriz". Ayrıca mekanlar ve binalar da bazen yalnız kalmaya ihtiyaç duyabilir.
Bu amaç doğrultusunda "herkes gitmiş" hissini veren sahneler yakalamaya çalışıyorum. Projede filmli makineler kullanarak çalışıyorum, çünkü filmli fotoğrafın greni, tozları ve çizikleri sahnelerdeki boşlukları doldurarak, boşluk etkisini güçlendiriyor.
