Djúpur Sjór is a set of generative art illustrations made only with the blend tool and "Distort & Transform" effects in Illustrator. I've got the first form with four points and a lot of random lines; I have copied that object and transformed it into all the other creatures you can see here. Getting new forms is completely random. When I start making new ones I don't know what I'll end up with.
The process is such that a slight movement of one point can change and destroy an entire form (see this GIF). One by one I began to build an entire collection of various creatures from the deep sea.
