Wild and Free - a short film

Tasked with constructing a short visual narrative, we were inspired to create a short to express the idea of finding clarity in a harsh and stressful world. To accomplish this we utilized the technique of hyperlapsing around natural and man-made landscapes to create a surreal atmosphere as our main character reaches a moment of transcendence.

Largely an exploration for us as designers to study different methods of visual storytelling, the process of creating this motion piece was an experimental one as we constructed a narrative around our theme. Frustrated with the confines of a purely digital world, we used this opportunity to get outside and explore our surroundings, which ultimately led to our realization that the best things in life are free.
