In the City of Thoughts.
Through this participatory desgin process, we invited Sydneysiders to think critically about their city and join in an open conversation. Participants map their ideas and beliefs onto the foundation walls of Sydney using a network of coloured string and join others to sit and observe the process unfold. This social space offers participants the opportunity to enjoy exploring their own thoughts about the city while contributing to a dynamic visualisation of how Sydney's diverse population connect in the urban fray.
The area that we occupied for our installation was a simple area, 10m x 2m on the bottom level of the foundation park; complex. It was a paved area. In terms of Environmental impact, our installation was very environmentally friendly; we did not use anything that might have a detrimental effect on the immediate area around us.
