I feel incredibly honoured to announce on here that I have been asked by Disney in Orlando to present my work and share my approach with design and gilded glass in front of designers and Disney Imagineers in the next few months in the USA. For some of you that know me, and like many of us, I’ve been working at this craft for years and trying to hone my skills, always learning from others on here and over the years in both the UK and USA, and the names of those people are endless. Some times people are watching what we create and share on here; you never know who is watching! I can honestly say that I would never have thought in a million years that this celebrated company would ever ask me to step up on a podium and talk about how I got to this point in my career. This opportunity has left me feeling extremely honoured, and I can’t wait to experience this trip with my family. I have to thank Kevin King and my daughter Hannah Smith for their help with preparations. Exciting creative times ahead. Thanks everyone here for the kind support follows on my work and comments this past year.
A monogram I'm sketching tonight. I'm crossed between Art Nouveau and a slight Victorian twist. No idea how I got to this point, but it seems to be working out so far! Various techniques to to follow in the making of this piece in the next few weeks.
