Booklet from Tempi Supplementari, Workshop with designer Paolo Ulian at ISIA Faenza

The large quantity of imported and exported Sangiorgi materials includes fir, ash, beech, chestnut, cherry, poplar, oak and lime wood. The pieces that can be found in the plant range from large whole trunks that are deposited to age, up to small and thin strips worked in sawmill and then in dryers. The part of waste includes colored stains and paintings with acrylic paints and plastic or metallic ties to hold the pieces; these are the ties that I went to use to make this project.

The idea is to use them metal clamps, suitably join with points of welding and creating objects from kitchen as underpasses. Shapes recall nature: in particular a palm and a spruce, but also a cypress, a cactus, a maple leaf symbol of Canada and a stylized tree as in the imaginary of the children.

The project was published in the book "Tempi Supplementari" (addictional times).
Inside there were published all the design objects made during the workshop.
