Tracking the life of serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, I created a typographic book designed to be a literary experience.
I tracked Dahmer’s life from his birth to his death, using as much information as I could gather to look at his life from a neutral perspective in order to typographically explore his humanity and how he evolved from an innocent child into the monster he became. I made use of various methods to create tension and suspense in the book such as utilisng digital type, handmade type, mark-making, a rigid grid layout, use of a typewriter and a photocopy machine, official documented police files and even letters written by jeffrey.
