Whale Autopsy is a self-published artists book.
The aim of the project was to create a limited run of 10 artists books. The concept is based upon my own personal interests from childhood with being fascinated by nautical elements and watching ocean documentaries as a child.
The focus of the book is about the largest sea animal in the world, the blue whale. The front pages illustrate the size of the whales organs in comparison to everyday objects, in order to put in to perspective the sheer scale of the animal. The reverse side shows the whale at full length, adding humour by revealing all the objects it has swallowed over its lifetime.

Our heart weighs as much as a small car
