Nima is an interactive play mat for children between the ages of 18 months and 4 years. Nima addresses the issue of the increasing negative impacts that technology has on our early childhood learning and entertainment. Tired parents often feel guilty as they try to balance time spent between technology and active play. Transferring the interface of devices such as the television, computer and iPad from screen to mat takes children away from staring at screens to actively interacting with the mat and physically engaging with other children.
