New York Seltzer Rebranding



The Challenge
Our client came to us asking for help to relaunch the well known and well loved 80's brand 'New York Seltzer' in Canada. While the name of the brand needed to remain the same, everything else was up for debate.

The Approach
Instead of relying on the iconic logo and packaging of the 1980's, we decided to completely reinvent the brand for a highly competitive market. A simple icon for the umbrella brand was designed to look contemporary with just a hint of retro. The monochromatic icon family was contrasted with bright colours that represented the flavour profiles. Stubby bottles were used for the packaging to reinforce the heritage of seltzer while ensuring the brand is still contemporary and modern.
