Oophaga pumilio - Strawberry Poison Dart-Frog

Process Work
After picking the Posion Dart-Frog as my subject I then had to determine how I was going to depict them, and after lots of sketches I decided on this composition.
I then had to determine what perspective grid I was going to use, which was very much a trial and error method. THis perspective grid was going to give me the closest perspective to what I had drawn in my sketch.
By drawing over my grid to figure out the perspetive of what my sketch would look like I was able to see that my plan was going to work. Yay!
I was then able to divide my compoisition geometrically based on the root 5 rectangle and organzied my composition to fit better. Then I was finally ready to stat the final drawing.
