Loop Informative Brand
Dialysis is a subject that is close to my heart. There are more than 40,00 people in the UK today who are affected by kidney failure, with more than half of this number receiving dialysis.
Kidney failure effects people of all ages, with the most common age of people on dialysis are over 65, so the information that can be found online or handed out is generally aimed at the older generation. I wanted to create something that was aimed at the younger generation, (specifically 16 - 25 year olds) a product that would connect to the patients and really feel relevant to them.
The brief :
Create a product that will deliver key information that will be relevant to young people who are beginning dialysis.
The solution should bring a sense of community within the brand and make
dealing with the process a little easier.
'Being in the loop'
Loop will connect with patients in three stages:
1 / At this stage the patient will be in front of a doctor being told that they will have to begin dialysis. The patient will be presented with an information pack that will hold two booklets. One booklet on the types of dialysis so the patient can make an informed decision on which dialysis is right for them. The second a nutrition booklet.
2 / At this stage the patiend has had a few session of dialysis but they are still adjusting to the process. The patient will be able to access and online site where they can interact with other patients. The interactive forum will allow the patient to share, ask questions and have a rant and other patients can give advice or have discussions.
3 / At this stage the patient has had more than a few sessions and dialysis is now integrating with there life.The patient will be able to download the Loop app that will be an aid to the patient to stay healthy. The app will be able to expand with options of wearable tech and doctors will be able to access your acount and sync updates to there phone.
