Project NamePlate

Rules
•The size of the magazine cover should be 8.5” x 11” and
in the CMYK color space.
•You must brainstorm and design a unique nameplate,
not a re-imagining of a current magazine title.
•You must use one of the photos provided for the cover.
Please note that the photos are larger than the 8.5” x
11” required for submission. This will allow you to
resize and crop photo for visual interest. Hint photos
may not be in CMYK format which requires change of
color space in Photoshop.
•You must use either Illustrator or InDesign to design
the nameplate. Photoshop is not meant for type design.
•Use Adobe InDesign to compose the cover; use of
Illustrator for graphics is acceptable but no more than
30% of assignment should be compiled outside
InDesign.
So here's the photo I selected for my magazine cover.

I wanted to enhance my photo that I selected for the project. I used photshop CS6 and changed the brightness in her face .I wanted her face to be highlighted with the colors in her eyes as well as the textured hair I added to her hair. I love the way things turned out with the photo. I also changed her eye color . I wanted to work with different font colors and play around with that when I got a chance to do so futher down on the magazine cover.

This enhanced photo looks nothing like the photo I selected. I love the way things turned out. Now lets go to Indesign and start to create the Project NamePlate
I come up with the name for my company magazine by taking my last name and flipping it backwards. The magazine name is RETROPS. I took and drew a palm tree with the pen tool and placed it as my "T".  The font I chose was Engravers MT Because in doing research on different fashion magazines I chose to follow "ELLE" magazine and the way they align their magazine .

Wanted to make sure I did not hide the face of the women in the picture. Because what i did learn about "ELLE"magazine they try there best never to cover the persons face on the fashion magazine. I wanted to bring her eyes out in the center to draw people in to want to read more and see what's on the inside of the magazine.
This was almost my final. I used pinks, greys and white for my font colors and it gave the cover a very nice look and feel.
Here's My final that I selected. I Loved the colors and how they work good together and I found a color that works well with her eye's in the image. Here's MY FInal
