10 years Benaki Museum Piraios Annex

Inspired by the spectacular exhibitions, presentations and performances with which
the Benaki Museum Pireos Str. Annex is weaving the fabric of the contemporary Greek culture
for ten years and counting, Beetroot design group was invited to design a special cover
for Gr Design magazine in order to celebrate the birthday of the museum that became
the temporary home of the Beetroot monsters in Athens.
From Joseph Koudelka, Ritsos, Tetsis and Nikos Eggonopoulos, to modern product design, Greek traditional artefacts and Amnesty International, the illustation is a composition of hundreads of doodles forming the facade of the Benaki museum
at Pireaus Str. Each scribbled sketch, stands for one of the exhibitions held at the Benaki within its 10 years of presence.
