SOLUTION
I decided on four books that feature characters who endeavor upon creating life by their own hands. Each of these characters went through their own unique process of preparation and experimentation, which is what I chose to focus on with my book covers. I created the covers to feel as if they were the personal journals of Victor Frankenstein, Dr. Henry Jekyll, Young Rossum, and Doctor Moreau. The covers dive inside the character’s mind and allude to the subject matter of the book, without giving the entire plot away.
