Application explainer - #Kindr.

With this project I became a semi-finalist at the 2015 Adobe Design Achievement Awards.
The brief
Come up with a creative concept for an innovative new app and create an explainer video for it.
#Kindr' lets the user set a mood and scan the environment for compliments. When the user runs into one, the app will send out a notification. Users can enjoy the compliment on the spot or tap a button that saves all compliments for viewing at a later time. When multiple compliments are located at one spot, a random one will be shown. The user can send a simple ‘thank you’ in return. When not in the mood, simply tell the app. No compliments will be saved and no notifications will be sent.
With this social concept, we are targeting the Millennials (aged 18 to 35). This is the first generation that has grown up with full use of the network as we know it today. They value many different things, such as sharing their feelings (which they will be able to do in a subtle way. This lowers the threshold for sharing in real life instead of online), instant gratification (which they will receive by immediately reading their compliment), and adding to their lives by helping others in trouble. (by dropping their own compliments) Targeting Millennials has become increasingly important as they are the most prominent generation as they have recently overtaken the Baby Boomers in number.
