The idea

:D-Faced is a contemporary free collaborative quarterly magazine; funded by students for the provision of the inclusion of their work. The magazine will be funded in this manner to avoid irrelevant advertising, with the key concept being to predominately advertise people as oppose to consumer goods. The contributing artists are credited, with contact details also included, therefore meaning the creative individual target market of the magazine can easily get in touch with the artists. Each issue features well-known artists and defacers, through advertising their work and name on the front cover in the hope that it will entice people to pick it up.

:D-Faced is a printed magazine as apposed to digital as all art starts with a canvas. Being a physical object means the magazine is a desirable, tangible object, not to be disposed of, and providing a lasting source of inspiration to be referred to, stepping away from the digital world where inspiring images are quickly seen and quickly forgotten. The magazine has a niche, hand crafted personal feel to it, seeing as the magazine is all about personality.

In each issue the artist featured on the front will appear in the centre of the magazine with a gate fold showcasing a verity of their work, I did create a gate fold for this issue however it is a little difficult to display.
