A collection of signatures designed for advertising, packaging, and corporate identity. Some are interpretations of real personal signatures and some are based on fictional icons. Betty Crocker, for instance, only exists as a combination of 40+ women who are stirred and whisked together to represent EveryWoman, or at least the ones who prefer their cake mix from a box.
In the process of designing a signature for reproduction and use as a brand the name is written many times to find the right blend of naturalness and control. I may use dozens of different pens and papers to achieve different effects. The final solution is finessed as a high resolution tif or a vector file, depending on how it will be reproduced.
