Camera-less Photography- The Exhibition

Reappearing Face

The piece shown here is my second year Art show (The Project- Canverse Collective) and was held in
Principles, Bolton Market Place, Bolton, United Kingdom.
"Reappearing Face" is an installation of a previous camera-less photograph from my portfolio and have brought several ideas together in order to create this installation. My artwork questions the power that is derived from the more profound meaning and the superficial aesthetic appearance of an image. By questioning the concept of movement, I try to create works in which the actual event still has to take place or only just resolved; moments evocative of atmosphere and suspense that are not part of a narrative thread.
My work has improper functions and never shows the complete structure. With a conceptual approach, I make works that can be seen as self-portraits. Sometimes they appear personal and quirky, this results in the fact that I try to imagine my own interpretation without being hindered by the historical reality. The aim is to forever leave the audience with a mix of conflicting feelings and thoughts.

Ed Alleyne Johnson's song, "White Intro" was used as the sound piece for this work and a link to the song is further down in the post.
Using his music was not in any way to create any financial gain, it was only used in the representation of the work.
