WEDDING INVITATIONS
The Felix Wedding stationary was designed to announce the marriage of a quirky and amusing couple. Guests will receive a save the date, invitation, rsvp card and cake topper, all done in a hand-drawn style. Offbeat romantic comedy movie covers, like Juno, and Away We Go, inspired the illustrations and are the reason why the couple is the focus on the invitation. Each piece of stationary carries different illustrated objects and plants that will be found at the wedding. Typefaces were used to identify information, a sans serif for details, script for dates, and a serif for headers. The color palette was a dandelion yellow, sage green, and light grey, based on the colors that would be used through out the wedding. Paper was an important element in capturing the feel of a wedding. I chose a heavy weight, off- white, canvas-textured stock. When it came to the envelopes, I chose a solid sage green to tie everything together.
