TRAMPERS HUT
                              Mt Kaukau// Wellington// NZ
Trampers hut in Mt Kaukau is not far away from the city but an illusion of an escape from the city is created giving a view that is extremely rare to find in wellington. This design focuses on a slow reveal, inspired by the journey up mount Kaukau, where through gaps in the trees various framed views can be seen at different stages of the walk but only when you reach the top the panorama is fully revealed. This design plays on these Ideas through pulling and pushing the furniture and walls up and out of the original given structure. This design brief asked the design to promote the use of wool in architecture within new Zealand I have applied felt lining to the design to help soften and add a level of comfort to the hut  encouraging a relaxed, resting atmosphere.
