For this group project we were given the word Fantastical as the theme of our magazine concept. We took the word fanatic from fantastical, choosing to look at people who fanatically collect things. We found that most media outlets portray these people in a negative fashion. branding them weird and strange. We wanted to change these perceptions and instead treat these people and their collections as art, showcasing a range of collections in each issue with photography and interviews. We also wanted to create something that in itself became a collectible, a collection of collections if you will.
