The Ateneo de Davao University's Accountancy Cluster was founded in 2000, when the university established the School of Business and Governance. The Cluster had the same logo ever since its inception:
Acting on the virtue of keeping up with modern times, I was tapped by the Cluster Representative to change the logo. The first drafts of the logo looked like this:
I wanted to retain the basic elements of the previous Accountancy logo: the Griffin, the school seal, the yellow-and-black color scheme but add a modern, flat feel to it (which essentially meant giving it a total do-over). After some consultations with the higher-ups of the Cluster, the official logo of the Ateneo de Davao University's Accountancy Cluster looks like this:
I didn't record the total number of hours I worked on the logo, but it took me 2 months to reach the final concept, mainly because my Illustrator skills were disappointing at the start of this project. :)
