The re-design of the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde website was the next step in the modernisation of the way the trust communicates with patients, visitors, staff and professionals alike. The previous site contained thousands of pages of content and dozens of sub-sites that needed to be integrated into the new design.

The main focus for the site was how it will be used by patients and visitors of the hospitals, keeping in mind the continued growth of mobile platforms and the need to access relevant information quickly and easily. The site was restructured to improve accessibility for these users and to allow information to be categorised into key sections to improve the overall experience. The modular nature of the design lends itself well to multiple platforms and also allowed the site to be customised to the users needs.

To support the new look and feel of the website, new photography was also commissioned. This included images of the key hospitals buildings mixed with architecture details to create a varied collection of images.
