Lobo-guará · Maned Wolf
Escultura feita para a primeira parte do módulo de Teatro de Rua no curso de Model Making, Design and Digital Effects, no IADT Dún Laoghaire, Irlanda. O briefing pedia uma representação realista de um animal, e escolhi o lobo-guará, o maior canídeo da América do Sul que, apesar do nome, não é um tipo de lobo e, apesar da aparência, também não é uma raposa (tanto que em inglês também é conhecido como fox on stilts, "raposa de perna-de-pau"). A base tem 16x11cm, e a escultura tem 10,5cm de altura. A estrutura interna é feita de arame, papel alumínio e fita crepe, e a modelagem em Super Sculpey, com acabamento em tinta acrílica, grama e pedras falsas usadas em wargames.
Sculpture done for the first part of the Street Theatre module in the Model Making, Design and Digital Effects course at IADT Dún Laoghaire, Ireland. The briefing consisted on a realistic representation of an animal, and I chose the maned wolf, the largest canid of South America. Despite the name it's not a wolf, and despite the look it's not a fox, although it's also known as fox on stilts. The base is 16x11cm, and the sculpture is 10,5cm tall. Its internal structure is made of wire, tinfoil and masking tape, and modelled in Super Sculpey. The finish was made with acrylic paint and fake grass and rocks used in wargames.
