A custom project for a very special client - Peter Dokl, slovenian biathlete representing Slovenia on Sochi Winter Olympic Games 2014.
Peter wanted a custom designed stock for biathlon rifle that will suit all his needs as a professional sportsman, but still to follow all the competition standards by IBU.
The new features for this rifle were:
- pistol grip
- unique cocking principle
- quick adjustable stock with two positions
- better ergonomics
- perfectly balanced with an option of custom balancing
- sharp looking
- carbon fibre made
The first designs and 3d models were made
After the design was confirmed, the 3D prints were ordered. The 3D prints were then used for tool design for carbon fibre parts production. All the carbon work was done by company Berk Composites. The prototype stock then went to some field testing.
After the test with prototype were finished, the production process of final rifle stock began. Some photos of finished rifle stock are below.
