Human Emojis - Research into Transparent Communication

For the final unit for this academic year, the brief was to create a response on a theme of graphic design. My theme was transparency. Having such a wide definition, I was faced with a world of outcomes.
After much research and idea changes, this is what I came up with.
The concept is that we're not entirely honest on social medias, such as Facebook and Twitter, and by adding emojis or abbreviations we become less transparent in the way we communicate to our friends and family, even if they seem to portray our emotions more clearly.

In the following images you'll be able to see how we'd look like if we made the faces emojis do for us. The outcome becomes ridiculus, but that is the whole aim of this experiment, to show how weird it is that we rely on little yellow faces to convey our emotions.
