Sometimes changing the criteria allows for a surprising solution. The brief asked for an unconventional souvenior that captures the essence of Art Center. The result was a clock that demonstrates how the Art Center community keeps time.
Reality Hacking
Changing one’s mundane reality into a surreal moment definitely draws attention. The brief asked me to hack Art Center’s reality by redesigning a message board. The result was a conceptual way to sell a copy machine.
Planting Limits
Limits create fertile ground. The brief was to make something useful by only using die-cut letters. My solution was to make people laugh by mailing them a letter.
