Ezlink 01  ( "Singlish" )

 

Presenting the colloquial language that is widely used in Singapore –‘Singlish’ to symbolize “my home, my journey”. As it is unquestionably a distinguish mark which allows us to clearly identify us, Singaporean. It has its unique blend of mix local dialects incorporating elements of English, Chinese and Malay, that showcase the multicultural individuality of our society. Therefore, in my artpiece I’ve list down some of these commonly used Singlish words that could be heard in daily conversation.

 

Ezlink 02 ( "Childhood Games"  )

In this concept, it brings back memories of the nostalgic childhood games we played. Back when we were young, simple games like hopscotch, five stones, folding airplanes are few of the popular and favourites game among kids. Games that we do not have to spend much money on, because all that mattered is the bunch of friends we had back then, we are fully committed to enjoying ourselves. Unlike now, many of us spend a lots of time immersed in busy routines and technology; we’ve forgotten how simple life could be lead. Therefore in the artpiece, I’ve included graphics elements to visually aid the concept, those games that brings back fond memories of the good old times.
