BRIEF
As part of a live brief in university, we were tasked with creating a low-budget integrated campaign to educate women in Wales about domestic abuse.
The challenge was to create a campaign spread across print, email and social media that could be easily spread through communities, such as sending PDFs to local libraries so that they can print out the posters/leaflets themselves. This would compliment social media presence and an email newsletter.
Our concept was born from our research where the line “walking on eggshells” was used by victims of physical domestic abuse to explain their situation prior to the abuse becoming physically violent. We decided that this phrase was fairly common and could be true for a lot of people who don’t realise that may not realise it’s a sign of a potentially abusive relationship.
POSTER
Above is our finished A3 colour poster, as you can see the image has been de-saturated and had some slight colour correction to suit the mood of the piece - and to help compliment the brief.
We made sure the design worked in both black and white, and in olour to match the Brief's criterior of an affordable outcome [for cheap re-production]
LEAFLET
The poster was coupled with a leaflet to provide more information to potential victims.

SOCIAL MEDIA & NEWSLETTER
These print executions were then supplemented with social media accounts on Twitter and Tumblr, allowing people to search for the hashtag "#eggshells" to prevent abusive partners discovering they had been searching for information on domestic abuse:
