Brianza and design; artisan tradition at one side and product innovation on the other, where the genesis of Tombolo.

From Cantù craftsmanship and the artistic knowledge in producing the well-known Cantù lace, to the experience of wood manufacturing in the geographic area between Lissone, Meda and Cantù itself, started the idea to create a table with essential and contemporary design carrying at the same time the history and the industrial culture that inspired it.

Made by a structure of solid national walnut wood assembled by joints, main characteristic of Tombolo is a removable countertop made by a direct couple of veneered national walnut and a solid surface sheet.

The possibility to overturn the countertop allows to have, when needed, an elegant living room table defined by the presence of the walnut wood that goes seamless from the table legs to the countertop and at the same time a dinner table or a worktable with a solid surface top able to resist to the wear and daily activities.

The peculiarity of the asymmetric cutting designed on the corner from which it is possible to lift the countertop is strongly characterizing the product. On the walnut surface lies the reference to the past: the decoration inspired by the famous Cantù lace applied by screen printing. Tombolo is the proof that the taste for the ancient traditions and the appeal for the designed innovation can exist together and be represented by the same product.

Tombolo is a dinner table made by a structure of solid national walnut wood and overturnable countertop with double functionality. One side of the countertop is made by a direct couple of veneered national walnut, allowing a visual continuity between the structure and the top itself, the other is made by a sheet of Solid Surface a ceramic-plymeric composite material able to resist to wear and daily use. It is possible to complete Tombolo with an elegant decoration inspired by Cantù lace applied by screen printing. All those characteristics are making Tombolo a table with double soul: elegant and modern from one side and suitable for daily life on the other.
