Laparoscopic Needle Holder
Project developed to attain the title of Integral Design in Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. It consisted in the re-design of the handle of laparoscopic instrumental in order to recover the natural and ergonomic postures surgeons should have while performing laparoscopic procedures. This was made to avoid future articular complications and injuries. 3D modeling techniques and rapid clay prototyping were used for testing and validation of the project, managing to recover the desirable postures and reducing the overall time during the laparoscopic procedure.
