26M LONG SCREEN OF MARVEL

Wall of Wonders is an art installation conceived as a relax zone for the ART x TECHNOLOGY exhibition in Warsaw during the Need For Street 5 Festival (october 2013) we helped to produce. It took place in the now-abandoned, biggest printer in Poland – Dom Słowa Polskiego. The huge post-industrial space was adopted to showcase interactive installations, 3D projection mappings and artworks.

Having such a huge space we knew, we had to use one of those enormous walls. We’ve came up with an ultra panoramic projection to create a chill-out zone with a sense of wonder. The screen built exclusively for that purpose was 26m long and 4.5m high.

We created series of animated short films which were conceived with such scale and proportions in mind from the very beginning. With long takes and slowly building ‘suspense’ we achieved an epic panoramic experience you could immerse in for hours.

It's an abstract water animation made with the huge scale projection in mind. Using artificially simulated physical phenomenas like wind or Coriolis force, we brought life to the giant screen. The water particles were simulated in Realflow and rendered as cubes whose length and color were directly transformed by the particles' velocity in C4D.

The animation was later converted for the dome projection and is also a part of an ongoing, multi-media series WATER RELATIONS.

All the animations were 3xHD. Leaving aside render times, the huge resolution (5760x921px) gave us amazingly crisp details. To screen it we needed 3 projectors combined. The quality allowed us to place been-bag-chairs as close as 2-4 meters from the screen and create and amazing relaxing experience.
