For a Complimentary Studies module, I chose to study film with the module title "Collisions with Super 8".. The idea was to combine or 'collide' traditional film video and digital video with one another to create something potentially unique.
My idea was to play around with the idea of colour to try and change the perception of what we see almost every day, primarily nature. I used my own Super 8 footage, my own digital video and stock VHS footage to overlay on top of the film to create a static effect that goes on through most of the video. It almost ends up being some form of dreamscape due to the film, colours and music colliding with one another.
