Bee Local is a 5-tube honey gift that is made up of different honeys from around South Africa.
The concept behind this product is to have the South African “Honey Story” displayed on the packaging but also allowing enough lighting to come through the box to allow the different shades of the honey to be illuminated. This what somewhat of a challenge so the solution was, a clear Acetate box with a small cardboard platform form to hold the individual tubes.
A black and grey print is only on the acetate of this box. A Protea Flower in on the front of the box, one of the biggest components in South African Honey is Fynbos and the Protea is the National Flower of South Africa. A map of South Africa on the back with various information regarding the Honey Story.
Personally I feel that this product was a big success but unfortunately photographed poorly.
A Thing I learnt while photographing this product, Acetate is ridiculously hard to make it look snazzy and not have a refection on it.
