This is a branding of the 'Craft Council of Karnataka'.

The 'Craft Council of Karnataka' is a hypothetical NGO loosely based on " The Crafts Council of Karnataka", a voluntary organization registered in the year 1982 under the Karnataka Societies Act 1961, is dedicated to the preservation, promotion, documentaion and development of traditional crafts and handloom textiles of  Karnataka.

The inspiration behind the logo is taken from 'Gandaberunda' the two-headed bird from the Hindu mythology and which is also the official emblem by the Karnataka government.

The idea was to develop an strong concept with iconic details that forces the logo to stand out. In the logo you will also see the initials of the 'Craft Council of Karnataka' shown with the use of the bird and  the colours.

The colour palette is also based on the yellow and red colours in the the flag of Karnataka which stand for arshina(turmeric) and kumkuma (vermilion), respectively. These two substances, used since time immemorial in India for various reasons, signify auspiciousness and well-being.
