As part of my self-promotion, I designed a logo and business card playing on my name being Ruby. I spent time experimenting with visualising 'Ruby', and formed a logo through the minimal, reduced gem shape. The red faceted style background alludes to the structure and appearence of a ruby gemstone. The icon is has a versatile quality- able to change colour depending on the context it is used in, and can also act as an arrow/pointer/navigator. I kept the reverse of the business card clean and open to appose the bright and busy front to the card.
