Biography

Hi! My name is Ignacio Osorio. I am a Motion Graphic Designer with a degree in Visual Communications and a background in Computer Systems. I love to draw inspiration from areas outside of design in order to build strong concepts and interesting aethetics. Telling stories is my passion and someone's smile my reward.

Description

This is the story of a photon that comes from one of the furthest galaxies ever seen, spotted by the Hubble Space Telescope right behind the Pandora's Cluster (Abell 2744). Scientists calculated that the photons of that galaxy had traveled 13.2 billion light-years through space to finally meet its destiny, planet Earth.

Communication Objective
To make people admire the beauty of the universe and at the same time make them question themselves about the dimensions and rules of it. Also to improve my skills as a motion designer learning how to use Adobe After Effects as a compositing tool.

Tools Used

Adobe Photoshop - I used it to create all my lookframes in order to help me visualize my art direction

Adobe Illustrator - Most of the mathematical assets in the motion piece were drawn in this toool.

Adobe After Effects - This was my main tool, in it I created all my compositing, colour correction and colour grading. I also animated most of the mathematical assets and typography.

Adobe Audition - I used it to create an adaptation of the song Memoirs (Cinematic Free Version) by Rameses B for my animation.

Cinema 4D - My camera movements and 3D elements.

Processing - I created some assets with Javascript to add rondom motion.
